Join us for round-table conversation with Olympia Kazi, Executive Director of the Van Alen Institute, Chris Marcinkoski, Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and a founding director of PORT architecture + urbanism, along with the grand prize winning team from URBAN VOIDS (and others) which celebrates the launching of the new publication: URBAN VOIDS: grounds for change .
Bring your own lunch: drinks will be available.
Featuring essays by key participants and an illustrated finalist gallery, URBAN VOIDS: grounds for change explores the innovative community engagement process and international ideas competition that challenged residents and designers to imagine a sustainable reuse of the vacant land in Philadelphia.
